Reading Resolutions

New year, new year resolutions that will be forgotten or abandoned come the spring, if not sooner. I've never really set them. Because if I did I'd have to follow them and then I'd end up having arguments with myself. Which is not ideal. Especially if I'm not alone.

So instead I'm going to have reading resolutions. This is a good way to finally get round to those books you've been meaning to get round to reading since forever. For me the first books that spring to mind are classics. I've not read many but I own quite a few. Well, it's high time to start tackling them. Dickens, Philip K Dick, EM Forster, Cormac McCarthy, Pasternak, Tolstoy are all on my shelves, all unread. I'm also going to finish reading the 2017 Man Booker longest nominees as I'm almost there. I didn't really set out to read them all it just happened. And there are some recently published books that have been getting a lot of buzz and/or ranked pretty high on Goodreads that I want to read.

I'm going to stop at three resolutions, it's enough to be going on with.
