Depth book review

Author: Lev AC Rosen
Genre: Sci-Fi Mystery

The premise: New York is under water, has been since the ice caps melted. But people are still there, scratching living in the upper stories of the former skyscrapers. Some are doing better than others but Simone Pierce is just trying to survive as best she can. She's a private detective and her latest case starts out straight forwardly but quickly becomes more complex. Suddenly she's in the middle of a conspiracy that permeates all levels of society, framed for a murder she didn't commit.

In short: brilliant. I love a good mystery and the setting, a future flooded New York, really finished it off. Lots of vividly realised characters, especially the heroine, and plenty of twists and turns with a cracking set piece for the finale. Surely there could be a sequel?! Either way, we need more sci-fi mystery please.
