A very interesting book, cat lovers will learn a great deal. I found the brief (only because cats haven’t been studied in any great detail) history more interesting than I thought I would. There is a fair amount of educated guesswork and assumptions but only because, even now, the study of cats is behind that of dogs and other creatures. There were a couple of chapters I skimmed as I wasn’t reading it for the biological aspect, but the worst you can accuse it of is being thorough.
